Families First dentist receives fellowship award

John Fitzsimons, DMD, a dentist at Families First Dental Center in Portsmouth, received the Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) on June 9 in New Orleans. The award recognizes THE AGD member’s commitment to excellence in dental education.

Bellwether President and CEO Michael L’Ecuyer honored for community service

The Moore Center held its signature Garden Party fundraising event on Wednesday, June 20 at the grounds of Brady Sullivan Tower. The annual event is one of the organization’s major fundraisers and also honors a person or persons who have made a positive impact on the greater Manchester community. This year’s honoree was Michael L’Ecuyer, president and CEO of Bellwether Community Credit Union who also received a proclamation from Mayor Joyce Craig.

Spaulding Youth Center Honored with Grant from New Hampshire Electric Co-op Foundation

Spaulding Youth Center is thrilled to announce it has been honored with a grant of $5,000.00 by the New Hampshire Electric Co-op (NHEC) Foundation in support of its Experiential Challenge Outdoors (EChO) program. EChO enables children to participate in outdoor adventures and education, regardless of their neurological, emotional, behavioral, learning or developmental challenges or family circumstances.

CATCH Receives Golden Trowel from Lakes Region Chamber

CATCH received this award for its renovation of the Franklin Light and Power Mill, now 45 units of affordable, workforce housing in downtown Franklin. The mill was originally constructed in 1895 and has housed many different businesses, including the Acme Knitting Machine and Needle Company, a foodstuffs warehouse, and rental storage space.

HNH Foundation Awards $234,202 to Improve the Health of New Hampshire Children

The HNH Foundation awarded $234,202 in grants in spring 2017. The awards benefited ten health-related initiatives and projects at non-profit and community organizations across the state.  The HNH Foundation made one-year grants to address the health of New Hampshire’s youngest and most vulnerable children and their families.
