Kreiva Academy

Kreiva Academy Public Charter School is a project-based, competency-based school that seeks to inspire students to become creative, critical thinkers and lifelong learners. This inspiration is achieved through a “hands-on” and active educational process where debate, discussion, dialogue and discourse are woven into the academic curriculum.

About our student body:

  • 170 students in grades 6-12 from across the state of New Hampshire
  • 20 different sending districts from Concord to Nashua
  • Majority (78%) come from the City of Manchester
  • Many students come to Kreiva after struggling in the traditional public school system
  • Over 60% of our student population qualifies for Free and Reduced Lunch
  • 26% of our student body are people of color
  • 30% of our student population have Individualized Education Plans
  • 15% of our student population identify as LGBTQ+
  • 5% of our student body are adjudicated through the courts and followed with case workers and parole officers

Through a school-wide culture that values the individual student, Kreiva has established a supportive and caring school community focused on meeting each student's academic and social emotional needs.

 

 


Kreiva Academy Public Charter School, a project-based, competency-based middle and high school, is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Substitute Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. 

Hours:          8:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday, per approved school year calendar.

Wages:        $17.50 per hour plus a $2,000 bonus for completing the school year to be paid in June 2023.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements: 

•       Completion of high school or equivalency diploma required.

 

Qualifications:

•       Experience with children and adolescents in an educational setting.

•       Must be able to pass a full background check. 

Responsibilities:

•       Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent.

•       Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives.

•       Perform other duties as directed by school administration.
