Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time Program Administrative Assistant to work in our adult outpatient counseling center, Riverbend Counseling Associates.

As a Program Assistant, you will be a member of an administrative team of support staff who work with clinical staff and clients in a variety of capacities. We're looking for a team player with a warm and welcoming presence, who has excellent computer skills, strong customer service, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a great diversity in duties and the ability to grow within the position and overall organization.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the world, it is our responsibility as healthcare providers to help keep our staff, clients and communities safe.  At Riverbend, we have implemented processes and precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 as well as a mandatory vaccination policy.  Exceptions can be applied for under medical or religious reasons.  Additionally, weekly testing will be required for anyone who is in progress of the vaccine series or individuals with approved exceptions.

Requirements:
  • High school Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Two years' experience in diversified office work is preferred
  • Experience with health insurance billing procedures is preferred
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with attention to detail, is required.
Responsibilities:
  • Respond appropriately and timely to incoming calls
  • Assess client and family needs
  • Provide administrative support to clinical staff
  • Maintain medical records for clients of the program
  • Maintain current insurance and payment information for all clients in the program
  • Collect payments from clients and address any past due balances, if applicable
  • Schedule/reschedule appointments for staff and provide reminder calls to clients
  • Resolve billing inquiries and reconcile debt
  • Provide administrative support to the Office Manager and Program Director
