Traffic and Sales Support Specialist

New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR) is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented individual to manage placement of information in NHPR's on-air logs and billing systems essential to the operation of NHPR. This person also facilitates processing of sales contracts and provides administrative support to the corporate relations team. The Traffic and Sales Support Specialist will play a key role in evaluating and streamlining the department’s operations as we look to consolidate traffic across all platforms. This position reports to the Director of Corporate Support and is based in our Concord, New Hampshire office.

  • Three to five years of experience in an office environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Google Apps.
  • Proven ability to learn new computer/technical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, with interruptions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Other qualifications that would be useful:

  • Experience working with media traffic either in a digital agency or media organization.
  • Experience working in a radio broadcast traffic operation and placing digital marketing assets.
  • Billing and receivables experience is desirable.
  • Ability to improve and refine systems and workflows.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage underwriting traffic and daily on-air logs and related monthly invoicing.
  • Act as liaison with our digital department and other underwriting staff to coordinate orders and placement of digital orders and creative. Work closely with the digital department on client reporting.  
  • Enter underwriting contracts and information into the traffic system.
  • Work with the Finance Department to prepare and maintain underwriting accounts receivable and monthly billing.
  • Handle client and staff requests for information on underwriting invoicing and billing.
  • Develop, update, maintain and distribute media kits and representative information, as requested.
  • Work with other members of the team to evaluate traffic systems and workflows with the goal of streamlining processes. 
  • Create and update regular and ad hoc reports.
  • Train and update back-up staff for log maintenance and billing.
  • Participate in station fundraising and sponsorship activities as requested.
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Corporate Support and Corporate Relations Representatives.
  • Update files and records for annual audit in accordance with FCC and auditing firm guidelines.
  • Coordinate all trade documents from sales reps and work with other departments to execute the trade process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
