Grant Specialist, (Fulltime) in Manchester, NH. 

The Grant Specialist will be a passionate about understanding, supporting, and promoting Waypoint’s mission as part of the Waypoint Development Team. The Specialist will be responsible for writing, managing, researching, and scheduling a high volume of grant submissions in support of agency’s programs, special events and projects.  The next Grant Specialist will process applications to foundations, corporations, and local  government and maintain positive relationships with the staff of these  agencies. With strong communications skills, the Grant Specialist will help maintain a donor communications calendar that utilizes hard copy, digital and electronic media to communicate with donors and potential donors. This includes helping to write creative copy.   This is a full-time position based in Manchester, NH with flexible hours many of which can be done remotely.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or related field with 3 years nonprofit development grant writing experience, possessing excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills as well as proof reading and editing techniques. Accuracy and attention to detail is critical. The ability to handle multiple projects; work well under pressure to successfully meet deadlines is essential. Familiarity working with Raiser’s Edge NXT is highly preferable. Candidates will be asked to engage in criminal background and motor vehicle record checks and have auto insurance which meets agency standards.
