The Moore Center is seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain accurate accounting records and properly  classify, record and verify financial data. Also responsible for payroll processing.

  • Bachelor' s degree in Accounting
  • Three (3) years' experience in a large volume, computerized accounting office with General Ledger responsibility
  • Experience in processing payroll for 300+ employees
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems
  • Process payroll utilizing Paylocity payroll system; prepare journal entries for payroll expense and month-end accrual
  • Assist with maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Processing Client Billing
  • Prepare electronic deposits and post client payments by recording cash, checks and credit card transactions
  • Process payments to representative payees
  • Prepare journal entries including month end accruals and adjusting entries
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Review general ledger account activity to ensure account balance accuracy
  • Ensure real time accuracy when inputting data for internal cash tracking document
  • Assist with budget preparation
  • Assist with internal and external audits including preparation of audit schedules and analyses
