Program Manager

New Hampshire Institute for Civics Education

We are currently seeking a Program Manager.

Position Summary: 
The Program Manager will provide support to the Executive Director and Treasurer. The Program Manager will utilize critical thinking skills to provide information, materials and services to the Executive Director. The Program Manager will maintain lists of donors, educators, and other stakeholders. The Program Manager will assist in coordinating events, perform administrative tasks, and update the website. The Program Manager will be familiar with QuickBooks Online, proficient with Excel and MS Word, and proficient at creating and understanding financial documents. Preferred candidates will be accessible, honor confidentiality, have a team player mindset, have strong writing skills, and be committed to the mission of NH Civics. This is a full-time position. Salary is commensurate with experience and will be in the $50,000 range.



  • Assist with marketing efforts for the organization including the coordination of events, event registration, collecting feedback surveys, and maintaining data on attendees
  • Provide event support in person or via Zoom
  • Assist with marketing efforts for the organization including the creation of e-newsletters, e-flyers and paper flyers and posts on social media. Maintain and update website
  • Issue educator certificates, keep track of professional development hours earned and stipends awarded
  • Update youtube channel as needed, including uploading video replays, linking them to web site, and sharing on social media

Resource Development & Governance

  • Research and create the annual report
  • Establish and maintain required SAMs and DUNs registrations
  • Proofread documents such as grant applications, track deadlines and reporting for grants. Monitor Grant Station regularly for appropriate grant opportunities
  • Attend and take minutes during committee, coalition, and Trustee meetings
  • Communicate with committees, Trustees. Use Zoom and Doodle polling to establish meeting times and to issue invitations
  • Assist ED and Secretary to distribute essential documents to the Trustees and store records appropriately. (Google Drive)
  • Maintain, track, update stakeholder list in the donor database and manage correspondence. (Little Green Light). Ensure donor acknowledgement


  • Administrative duties as needed, such as handling mail delivery, ordering supplies, running errands, mailings and maintaining records
  • Prepare checks, make bank deposits, record transactions in Quickbooks
  • Assist Executive Director and Treasurer in preparing financial reports quarterly or whenever a Trustee meeting is held. Work with Executive Director to prepare annual budget and monitor budget throughout the year

Program Support

  • Reach out to schools and other demographics in NH to educate about programs and encourage registration
  • Maintain data on participating schools, and number of students who participated
  • Prepare reports on activities for future fundraising/outreach efforts
  • Maintain files both in paper format and on the Google drive in an organized fashion for historical and legacy information
