Medication Nursing Assistant
Spaulding Academy & Family Services is a leading provider of educational, residential, therapeutic and community based programs and services for families, and children and youth with neurological, emotional, behavioral, learning or developmental challenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and those who have experienced significant trauma, abuse or neglect. Established in 1871, Spaulding Academy & Family Services is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit that was formerly known as Spaulding Youth Center since 1958. Our scenic hilltop campus is located on nearly 500 acres in Northfield, NH and welcomes boys and girls from ages 4 to 21 from around the state of New Hampshire and beyond. In addition to programs provided on our Northfield campus, Spaulding’s community based programs include foster family licensing, Individual Service Option (ISO) foster care, ISO in-home services, child health support services and more, for children ages 0 to 20 and their family.
Spaulding Academy & Family Services is seeking full time and part time Medication Nursing Assistants to join our Health Services Department.
Current MNA shift opportunities available are:
Monday through Friday – 6am to 2pm; 3pm to 11pm; and 11pm to 7am
Saturday and Sunday – 7am to 9pm; 11pm to 7am
• High school diploma or GED
• State of NH Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) / Medication trained Nursing Assistant (MNA) license required
• CPR certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire
• Must complete a state approved training course in medication administration and receive a certificate of satisfactory successful completion
• Must retain NH license as applicable by state regulation
We are seeking NH licensed Medication trained Nursing Assistants (MNAs) to assist the Health Services nursing team in administering medications to our students on campus. The MNA would be expected to administer medications on our campus with seven settings to include six residential cottages and a school. The team would consist of at least one nurse and one MNA on during the time when children are awake and on overnights during the sleeping hours. In addition to administering medications, the MNA will report to nursing when a PRN is requested and when ailments are witnessed or communicated within the student population.
