Established in 1920, Greater Nashua Mental Health has as its mission: empowering individuals to lead full and satisfying lives through treatment and support. Our agency provides comprehensive, evidence-based behavioral health services for individuals with mental health and/or substance misuse disorders. We offer a wide array of services in office and community settings, serving adults and children. As the State-designated Community Mental Health Center for Southern Hillsborough County, we serve everyone who walks in our doors, and no one is ever turned away due to the inability to pay for services. Without our agency, many of the most vulnerable members of our community would not have access to critically needed behavioral health care. We are seeking a Masters level clinician to perform clinical evaluations for new or returning clients at our community based mental health center. The Therapist for Intake Services will be responsible for completing Adult Needs and Strength Assessments (ANSA) and Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths Assessments (CANS), making level-of-care determinations and facilitating referrals for treatment.
This could be a part-time or full-time position with the possibility of a flexible schedule that could include afternoon, evening and/or weekend hours.
This position requires a Master’s degree in a clinically related mental health discipline and experience in assessment of clinical diagnosis. Candidate should have a strong ability to form rapport quickly, interact with a broad range of clients, have strong organization and communication skills. Familiarity with assessing eligibility for services for those with severe and chronic mental illness is preferred.
