Administrative Assistant

Court Appointed Special Advocates of NH

CASA is a statewide nonprofit organization that recruits, trains and supervises volunteer Guardians Ad Litem to advocate in court on behalf of abused and neglected children. Since 1989, CASA has  provided a voice for abused and neglected children and youth by empowering a statewide network of trained volunteers to advocate on their behalf so they can thrive in safe, permanent homes. Primary Function:

To support the CASA of New Hampshire organization in its mission to serve 100% of the abused and neglected children in the state by assisting staff and advocates with a variety of administrative and clerical duties.

Reports to:

Operations Manager or the President/CEO

Requirements:

Necessary Knowledge and Skills:

• Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software, Outlook , Word, Excel
• Database administration
• Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment
• Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to keep all case and court information confidential

• Teamwork

Experience:

• Prior office management/administrative support experience
• Prior experience working with the Court System/with court documents is desired

Responsibilities:

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains a presentable and organized reception area
• Handles incoming calls and processes mail daily
• As necessary maintains ongoing communication with CASA Staff
• Handle phone requests for information regarding the CASA program
• Greet and direct visitors
• Provides general clerical support
• Maintains office equipment and supply inventories
• Oversees and supports office volunteers
