Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Therapist
Established in 1920, Greater Nashua Mental Health has as its mission: empowering individuals to lead full and satisfying lives through treatment and support. Our agency provides comprehensive, evidence-based behavioral health services for individuals with mental health and/or substance misuse disorders. We offer a wide array of services in office and community settings, serving adults and children. As the State-designated Community Mental Health Center for Southern Hillsborough County, we serve everyone who walks in our doors, and no one is ever turned away due to the inability to pay for services. Without our agency, many of the most vulnerable members of our community would not have access to critically needed behavioral health care. We believe that by respecting people as they are, we can help them to become all that they wish to be.
We are seeking a fulltime therapist to work with our SUD programs. The successful candidate will provide direct services to individuals and their families seeking substance abuse treatment or services. These direct services will include evaluations, case management services, individual, group, and family therapy.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work effectively with persons dealing with drug abuse and dependence issues, a high degree of professionalism, and be of good character. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver.
As a community mental health agency, our work environment can be hectic at times and challenging. We are, however, very much a team of professionals who are accessible to one another and eager to assist one another in our collective efforts to support our clients. Our primary goal of client support necessitates some early evening hours, and the work schedule can be flexible.
Minimum qualifications include: Clinical licensure in a human services field (e.g. LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, LADC etc.) or a Master’s degree in a human services related field from an accredited institution and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with persons dealing with drug abuse or dependence issues.
Greater Nashua Mental Health is an eligible employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, NH State Loan Repayment Program and offers competitive salaries and comprehensive employee benefits. Apply today!
