Housing Support Staff (2 part time evening positions) in Dover & Concord, NH locations.
Waypoint is a private Nonprofit Social Service Agency seeking Housing Support Staff to provide late night supervision and oversight to youth (18-23) who are living in Waypoints Transitional Living housing. Do you have a passion for working with young adults? Would you be a good mentor for young adults who have experienced homelessness, substance abuse struggles or mental health struggles? If you would like to be part of a team supporting youth in these areas this may be the perfect fit for you. The Housing Support Staff will utilize Positive Youth Development, Harm Reduction and Trauma Informed Care to provide supervision to six to nine-housed-TLP youth. The primary role of Housing Support Staff is providing interventions that support coping and problem-solving skills, teaching social skills and teaching/modeling independent living skills with a special emphasis on safety and relationships. The Housing Support Staff will work in collaboration with a live-in House Mentors and TLP Care Coordinators, who are assigned to each residence.These are part time positions with competitive pay. The primary hours are between 8:00 pm and 12:00 am or 9:00 pm and 1:00 am. Candidates could work a schedule of 3 to 6 shifts/days per week based on availability. Occasionally hours may vary. BA degree desired or an associate degree with one year related direct care experience. Other skills needed: ability to complete paperwork timely and effectively as well as having strong verbal and face to face communication skills. Applicants must be 18 years old. The chosen candidates will be required to successfully complete a criminal background check.
