Families in Transition-New Horizons Database Administrator helps funding growth through data analysis, systems training, reporting, data hygiene and strategic implementation of gift processing procedures. The Database Administrator is a key member of the Resource Development Team and is responsible for tools that include Salesforce, Classy and some knowledge around Pardot, in conjunction with the Marketing Team. 

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements (Education/Experience/Certificates/Licenses):

  • Combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.  
  • Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience and documented success in fund development or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Salesforce and Classy or equivalent CRM experience preferred.
  • Ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences. Ensuring the highest customer service.
  • High Energy and forward, strategic thinking.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage complex timelines and multiple projects.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and time management skills. Must be well organized and detailed oriented.
  • Exceptional relationship skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of confidence in making strategic decisions, good judgment, and innovative and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.

Responsibilities:
  • Understands and utilizes multiple data and reporting systems to access data and reports to support the resource development team.
  • Coordinates gift processing and ensures gift processing procedures are followed and understood which can include collaborating with the finance team to ensure accurate execution of gift processing and reconciling.
  • Responsible for report generation and acknowledgement letters and must ensure that information is handled with meticulous attention to detail, privacy and accuracy.
  • Reviews gift reports to identify needed gift adjustments and/or gift linking requests to support accuracy of resource development team, portfolio management and agency forecasting goals. 
  • Coordinates data hygiene updates to support the quality of data in the CRM (Salesforce + Classy) and other data systems including creating new accounts, account merges and making other needed updates in the CRM and/or requesting updates through submission of data support cases. 
  • Supports portfolio updates in CRM by transferring accounts/contacts to the appropriate relationship manager as determined by leadership. Ensures portfolios are reflected in CRM per the approved portfolio for each role as defined by Vice President of Resource Development.  
  • Assists leadership in analyzing donor activity and performance. Provides data to leadership to support operational reviews as well as forecasting for the agency.  
  • Monitors upcoming and past due solicitations and gifts and proactively shares information to resource development team to ensure data is updated appropriately.
  • Assists as the primary systems trainer for staff and new hires. Educates the users on new functionality and/or changes in the CRM. Provides ongoing training on CRM and other development data systems/reports.
  • Supports tracking budgeted monthly gifts, as reflected in the revenue budget to support agency forecasting.
  • Works alongside Resource Development team to execute annual appeal campaigns throughout the year.
  • Works directly with donors that call in regards to donation questions, receipts, issues with online gifts.
  • ​Support volunteers who perform data entry and data-related projects for resource development team.
