Fundraising Operations Manager

Harbor Care, formerly known as Harbor Homes and the Partnership for Successful Living, is an innovative non-profit that integrates stable housing with vital supports: primary, dental, and mental health care, substance misuse treatment, employment services, home care, HIV/AIDS care, veteran services, and other wraparound supports proven to end homelessness and help change and save lives.

 


The Fundraising Operations Manager is responsible for building a strong foundation of philanthropic giving to Harbor Care. This includes strengthening donor stewardship, retention, and donor acquisition. This position is responsible for implementing the organization’s direct mail and digital fundraising activities, working with the Director of Development & Fundraising and the development team to create and achieve both annual and multi-year revenue goals. The Fundraising Operations Manager will oversee Harbor Care’s donor management system, including gift processing, tracking pledges, generating reports, and tracking campaign performance. This position will oversee the Fundraising Specialist, who is responsible for gift entry, processing thank you letters, and other tasks.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications

  • 3 years of non-profit fundraising experience, including direct mail and digital
  • Successful track record in donor acquisition and retention, particularly through non-event activities, leading to year-over-year revenue growth
  • Experience managing donor CRM systems, creating reports and dashboards.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Project management-related experience, including planning, attention to detail, and deadline focused are important

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA preferred, but not required with demonstrated experience and success in fundraising
  • Familiarity with Donor Perfect a plus
Responsibilities:

The assigned duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee and implement all direct mail activities, including building mailing lists, coordinating with mail houses and printers
  • Oversee and implement digital fundraising activities, including coordination with and development of digital platforms (i.e. online giving, mail chimp, social media)
  • Manage the organization’s donor CRM system, Donor Perfect, including overseeing gift entry and thank you process, tracking pledges, generating reports, and tracking campaign performance
  • Work with Development Director and development team to create annual fundraising revenue goals, strategies and activities to achieve goals and metrics to measure success
  • Support development team to build donor pipeline, including donor acquisition, retention, increased giving and recurring giving
  • Work with Development Director to develop and implement donor stewardship plans
  • Oversee revenue reconciliation process in collaboration with the Finance Department
  • Communications with donors regarding gift making, or other matters, as needed.
  • Assist with gift entry and thank you process as needed to ensure timely entry and donor acknowledgements
