Housekeeping Supervisor

We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team right now! Come find your purpose while you make valuable, rewarding impacts in the lives of the individuals we serve.

This position is located at our Behavioral Residential/Educational Treatment Program at Zachary Road in Manchester. The program serves individuals aged from 5 to 21 with developmental disorders, nonverbal learning disabilities, traumatic brain injuries and other neurological disorders. The successful candidate will lead a team who performs general housekeeping duties ensuring that the facility is kept in a safe, clean and orderly condition.

Responsibilities also include:

  • Assist manager in monitoring housekeepers in the performance of their duties.
  • Maintain quality standards to ensure compliance with state licensing and operating standards.
  • Provide inventory assistance to ensure adequate supplies.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and care of housekeeping equipment.
  • Reports and initiates actions, immediately, to correct any noted cross-contamination issues or problems.
  • Train housekeeping staff, as requested, in the use of cleaning solvents, chemicals and equipment so they can respond appropriately to cleaning/contamination issues as they arise.
  • Work with facility managers and staff to ensure quality housekeeping and maintenance of the facility.
  • Report safety and repair issues to maintenance department.
  • Perform housekeeping service work to meet specific performance obligations.
  • Communicate with contractors as requested.
  • Attend staff meeting and in-service training as assigned.
  • Be available to provide on-call services when required. 

Hours: Monday – Friday, 6 AM – 2:30 PM

Requirements:
  • High School education or GED or Six (6) months experience working in a housekeeping or related setting
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • All Easterseals employees are subject to a background check, including criminal records.

Salary Range:

$14.50 - $15.50 per hour, depending on experience
