Community Partners, the designated Community Mental Health Center, Regional Developmental Services provider, and Family Support Center for Strafford County, NH is seeking a seasoned leader to manage our adult mental health department. We are a non-profit agency that provides an array of services to assist clients managing symptoms and impairment of mental illness. In addition to psychiatric services, case management, psychotherapy, and community functional support services are available. This position provides oversight of the clinical, administrative, financial, personnel and quality aspects of the Adult Services department.  The leader in this position will engage with the development and implementation of organizational strategy and will oversee the implementation and delivery of innovative clinical programming.

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family therapy or related field required
  • Five (5) years related clinical experience required
  • Supervision experience required
  • Management experience required
  • Must be licensed by the NH Board of Examiners of Psychology and Mental Health Practices or eligible for licensure upon hire
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to plan and perform a wide variety of duties related to program administration
  • Must successfully exercise independent judgement and use discretion in the performance of these duties while operating within the limits of standard practice
  • Ability to plan and perform diversified duties requiring extensive knowledge of behavioral health services and the oversight of a program providing such services
  • Ability to utilize technology provided to perform requirements of the job
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of adequate automobile liability insurance and reliable transportation required
  • Works with the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) on the implementation of organizational strategy and objectives in Adult Services programs
  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience of a wide level of clinical services (adult, acute, mental health, substance abuse, YFS, family systems, community based, etc.) provided in diverse settings to individuals across the lifespan
  • Monitors and enhances existing Adult Services clinical programs
  • Under the direction of the CCO, implements new and innovative clinical programs in Adult Services programs to achieve organizational goals and objectives
  • Ensures quality of care for clients by monitoring clinical acumen of staff and  quality of  services provided in Adult Services
  • Oversees the success of all department personnel; hires, trains, supervises, mentors, disciplines, evaluates and oversees separation from the Agency
  • Contributes to the development and monitoring of the Adult Services program budget in conjunction with COO and CCO
  • Manages the Adult Services program budget to meet financial and service delivery goals
  • Maintains working knowledge of multiple insurance carriers, agency fees and special contractual agreements (manages these various financial elements of client services within Adult Services, including payer mix, MCO contract obligations and expectations)
  • Oversees compliance with medical records documentation in accordance with all applicable rules, regulations and standards
  • Oversees compliance with all applicable agency policies and any applicable state and federal rules and regulations
  • Represents the Agency in designated meetings, events, activities, and publications in a manner that aligns with the mission, vision, and strategic goals of the Agency and that enhances the Agency’s reputation and operational effectiveness
  • Conducts staff and department meetings; facilitates cooperation among staff to enhance department development and collateral clinical work
  • Facilitates coordination amongst various programs to enhance quality of care to clients and their families (this includes but is not limited to, Emergency Services, Case Management, ServiceLink, Adult Services, and Developmental Services)
  • Sets QI initiatives in conjunction with the QI Director and CCO (this includes compliance measures and quality measures that enhance the Adult service delivery continuum
  • Monitors and meets Adult Services program key performance indicators and other data measures, such as fidelity reviews, team and individual productivity and identified quality measures
  • Demonstrates a caring, professional attitude and behavior towards clients, staff and referral sources
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in supervision, educational programs, current literature, trainings, and professional conferences
  • Attends meetings, trainings and events as assigned
  • Performs tasks, projects and other duties as assigned
