Fiscal Officer

Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack Counties

Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack Counties, Inc. is a non-profit organizaiton dedicated to helping meet the needs of individuals, families and elderly statewide and in particular Merrimack and Belknap Counties. 

Fiscal Officer - Full–time position (37.5 hours per week). 

The Fiscal Officer is directly responsible to the Executive Director.  Responsible for providing fiscal support services to the Executive Director, Deputy Director, Board of Directors and Program Directors.  Applies Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to analyze financial information and prepares financial reports.  Establishes and maintains a fully automated accounting system to timely and efficiently record financial transactions.  Ensures fiscal compliance of federal and state grant programs.  Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Business Management and at least 5 years of progressively-responsible experience in non-profit financial operations and fund accounting; extensive experience with General Ledger required.  Federal Funds grant management and Community Action accounting experience a plus.  Competitive benefits including generous Paid-Time-Off, medical and dental benefits, short term disability, and 403B plan with up to 5% agency match after one year.
