Associate Director, Business Operations/ Finance

Grafton County Senior Citizens Council

Grafton County Senior Citizens Council ( GCSCC) is a nonprofit , charitable organization. Our purpose is to develop , strengthen, and provide programs and services that support the health, dignity and independence of older adults and adults with disabilities living in our communities.   


Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Associate Director, Business Operations, is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the agency's business office.

  • Proven ability to work with complex financial systems
  • Ability to understand diverse and complex funding streams
  • Knowledge of aging services and organizational management
  • Project management and planning skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectivefly with staff members, volunteers, community groups, and the general public
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement
  • Computer skills ( proficiency with MS Office, QuickBooks, and databases)
  • BA degree in a business - related field, emphasis on finance preferred
  • 3 plus years of experience in operations/ financial management, preferably in the non-profit sector  
  • Responsible for the agency's business operations, including finance, data collection and analysis, contract management, purchasing, payroll, and information technology.
  • Assist the financial team in the development of the agency's budget, audit , and other financial functions.
  • Oversee management of the agency's data for the purpose of both internal and external reporting.
  • Responsible for management of assets , including facilities, fleet of vehicles, and equipment .
  • Plan for future capital needs and maintain the agency's Capital Improvement Plan.
  • Manage the agency contracts and purchasing.
  • Seek ways to increase efficiencies, reduce costs, and implement strategies to benefit the long-term financial health of the agency.
  • Supervise business office staff, identify opportunities for staff training, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Assist in agnecy planning and evaluation.
  • Assist in the formulation or revision of agency policies, procedures, and manuels.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
