About Seeds of Faith and Lydia’s House of Hope:

Lydia’s House of Hope is a transitional housing program for woman and children in crisis. This 365-day program provides the physical, mental, emotional, and foundational life skills necessary for each woman and child that enters our home to live independently outside of it. This program is not a shelter, nor a rehab. It is a program dedicated to leading these women into a life of sustainable independence by giving them the tools and support necessary to change their lives. This is the program that brings the Homeless to Wholeness….one woman, one child, and one family at a time.


The Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and execution of the Monday and Wednesday foundational programs as well as the Saturday family-focused programs. A typical day is centered around the schedule and volunteer coordination, execution of successful programs, and is available for and responsive to any changes in the plan.

Requirements:
  • Background in and passion for Human/Social Services, Management, or a related field.
  • Ability to resolve conflict and lead a large group of women and children through various activities
  • Ability to adhere to the pre-planned activities and schedule
  • Ability to work with a great deal of autonomy
  • Ability to work with a diverse set of individuals with backgrounds of trauma, abuse, and addiction.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to last minute changes in the schedule or changes in activity structure.
  • Maintain a “bigger picture” perspective without neglecting the fine details
  • Work collaboratively with all other staff members for the shared mission of the organization.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able pass a drug test
  • Must be able to pass a background check
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and structure daytime programs that align with the organization’s mission and meet the immediate needs of the residents.
  • Recruit, organize, and schedule reliable volunteers to facilitate the weekly programs, Saturday activities, and children’s programs/supervision when necessary
  • Coordinate Saturday family-focused activities for the women and children residents. These activities are to be inclusive, engaging, match our mission values and

occupy the duration of the programming time.

  • Prepare an outline of the Saturday Activity Plan for the weekend staff to refer to and enforce.
  • Thoroughly and continuously communicate with the programs and program volunteers to ensure the most beneficial program and activity outcomes.
  • Diligently maintain the Program Calendar for the staff and residents to refer to.
  • Meet weekly with the Executive Director to review the Program Calendar and discuss future objectives.
  • Meet weekly with staff to receive feedback, discuss current resident needs, and determine any conflicts.
  • Prepare any and all materials necessary for each scheduled program/activity as well as coordinate any transportation logistics necessary.
  • Prepare and ensure a back-up plan is in place for any Saturday activity that is scheduled outside of the house.
