Director, Community-Based Home Care for Seniors and Adults with Disabilities

Waypoint is seeking a Director to lead our Home Care Department. The Home Care Department's focus is on chronic care management, education, prevention and wellness, NO OASIS. This role requires a delicate balance of business acumen and empathetic leadership as the Director is charged with ensuring the financial health of the Department, managing staff, interacting with clients and families, and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. The Director is responsible for representing Waypoint in the community, to the legislature, and to various commissions and organizations. The Director monitors external factors affecting the Department and implements operational solutions as needed and is responsible for developing and maintaining good working relationships with referral sources, funding sources and organizations involved in the delivery of and/or influencing services to older adults and adults with disabilities. The Director will lead a team comprised of a Clinical Manager, supervisors and administrative staff and will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will join Waypoint’s senior leadership team.

The chosen candidate will be required to submit to a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check and have auto insurance which must meet agency standards. Bachelor’s degree in nursing, public health, health care administration and/or related education with a minimum of five years of senior management. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, prior experience with Home Trak or similar software. Previous experience with Office 365 and SharePoint desired.
