Through Positive Tracks, youth ages 12 - 25 are creating change using the power of their own physical activity. Young people are running to fight racism, playing basketball to combat climate change, and dancing to end bullying. Youth are learning that something as simple as a kickball tournament can ignite critical conversations and foster the basic framework of civic activism.

The Development Associate supports the Chief Strategy Officer and the CEO in Positive Tracks’ fundraising. The position is primarily internally focused, managing the database, managing grantwriting, providing logistics support for events, and supporting active stewardship of our donors. 

●  Compensation for this position ranges from $45,000-60,000 depending on experience.

●  Paid Time Off starts at 4 weeks/year, plus time off to vote.

As the incoming Development Associate, you will possess many, though perhaps not all, of the following characteristics and qualifications:

●  At least 2 years of relevant work experience; direct experience with fundraising and grant writing required

●  Excellent writing skills with an ability to bring “warmth” into your written communications/emails

●  Strong administrative and organizational skills, with an emphasis on time management and the ability to plan, organize and implement numerous projects simultaneously

●  Nimble and adaptive professional with a comfort managing multiple tasks

●  A team player who is driven to help Positive Tracks realize our vision

●  Thrive in non-traditional 9-5 work environments and identify as a self-starter

●  Very high attention to detail; curiosity and problem-solving skills; initiative and follow-through on projects.

●  Previous CRM experience strongly desired: Salesforce, Little Green Light, Raiser’s Edge preferred.

●  Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar), Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word), Adobe Acrobat, various document processing and database applications and querying.

●  Understanding of how to deal properly with confidential or sensitive information.

●  Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.


What you’ll do here:

 Grant Writing & Management:

○  Lead foundation grant writing including proposals and reports. Build a pipeline of prospective funders for Positive Tracks by researching and identifying new corporate, foundation, and individual prospects.

○  Support the CEO, CSO, and Board of Directors with their fundraising efforts


○ Work in partnership with our Communications Director to support external communications efforts focused on fundraising activities

Fundraising Event Management:
○ Serve as a lead staff member in the organization and execution of Positive Tracks fundraising events in partnership with CEO and CSO

Database Management:
○ Manage Little Green Light (CRM database) for PT with a strong focus on fundraising efforts

How to Apply:

This position is a full-time position and is located in the Positive Tracks office in Hanover, NH. Must be able to occasionally stand for extended periods of time, occasionally lift 30lbs and assist in physical work needed for various events. Monthly travel to Greater Boston and occasional nights and weekends for PT events.
