Clinical Director - Substance Use Disorder Clinical Services

The North Country Health Consortium (NCHC) is a dynamic and innovative non-profit organization created in 1997 as a vehicle for addressing common issues through collaboration among health and human service providers serving Northern New Hampshire. NCHC is engaged in activities for:

  • solving common problems and facilitating regional solutions
  • creating and facilitating services and programs to improve population health status
  • health professional training, continuing education and management services to encourage sustainability of the health care infrastructure
  • increasing capacity for local public health essential services
  • increasing access to health care for underserved and uninsured residents of Northern New Hampshire

The following Full-Time position is available within NCHC's Substance Use Disorders Clinical Services at the Friendship House location, a comprehensive residential treatment facility that serves individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. 

  • NH Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor status and maintenance of MLADC through continuing education
  • Minimum of MA degree in Social Work, Counseling, or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years experience in SUD/ mental health work
  • Experience with supervising teams and delivery of clinical services
  • Working knowledge of the disease of drug/alcohol dependency and progression of all chemical dependency
  • Proven knowledge of the treatment continuum of care and referral sources, along with the capacity to relate to individual clients in a firm, supportive, and caring manner
  • Ability to perform job description with minimum supervision
  • Experience with co-occurring diagnosed clients

• Clinical supervision of a 32-bed inpatient treatment facility providing high-intensity and low-intensity treatment • Clinical supervision of individual and group therapy services • Individual and group supervision on a weekly basis for clinical staff, including interns • Supervision of clinical services, including intake, assessments, treatment plan development, client progress and discharge planning • Work closely with Administrative/ Operations Director and CEO for development of policy, procedures and programming • Scheduling of clinical team to ensure adequate shift coverage • Responsible for confidentiality of clients and education of staff surrounding Federal, State, and local mandates that impact the delivery of treatment components
