Facilities Manager

Greater Nashua Mental Health

Established in 1920, Greater Nashua Mental Health has as its mission: empowering individuals to lead full and satisfying lives through treatment and support. Our agency provides comprehensive, evidence-based behavioral health services for individuals with mental health and/or substance misuse disorders. We offer a wide array of services in office and community settings, serving adults and children.  As the State-designated Community Mental Health Center for Southern Hillsborough County, we serve everyone who walks in our doors, and no one is ever turned away due to the inability to pay for services.  Without our agency, many of the most vulnerable members of our community would not have access to critically needed behavioral health care.   We believe that by respecting people as they are, we can help them to become all that they wish to be.


We are looking for a professional, experienced, hands-on Facilities Manager to join our team. Are you a self-starter with strong project management skills, a can-do attitude, and experienced with facilities or construction management? Then we want to talk to you!

Job responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and performing repairs, modifications, preventative maintenance tasks, and custodial duties for all GNMH properties.
  • Managing and performing: day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of GNMH equipment, systems, fixtures, buildings and grounds.
  • Coordinating interoffice mail and office moves for all office locations.
  • Managing vendors, plans, budgets and the scheduling of facility modifications including estimates on equipment, labor materials and other related costs. 
  • Maintaining an on-call status for after-hour facility emergencies.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent certification and five years of general facilities management experience that includes HVAC, plumbing, electrical, framing, drywall and painting. In addition, candidate must have a general mechanical aptitude, be experienced with the use of hand tools and other general maintenance equipment and be willing to work evenings or weekends if needed. Candidate must be proficient with excel and/or facilities software applications and able to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a daily basis.  Demonstrated leadership and management skills and the ability to work without close supervision is a must.
