Critical Time Intervention (CTI) Specialist

Greater Nashua Mental Health

Established in 1920, Greater Nashua Mental Health has as its mission: empowering individuals to lead full and satisfying lives through treatment and support. Our agency provides comprehensive, evidence-based behavioral health services for individuals with mental health and/or substance misuse disorders. We offer a wide array of services in office and community settings, serving adults and children.  As the State-designated Community Mental Health Center for Southern Hillsborough County, we serve everyone who walks in our doors, and no one is ever turned away due to the inability to pay for services.  Without our agency, many of the most vulnerable members of our community would not have access to critically needed behavioral health care.   We believe that by respecting people as they are, we can help them to become all that they wish to be.

The Critical Time Intervention (CTI) Specialist provides services to clients with serious mental illness.  CTI is a structured program that provides supports to people who are transitioning from a hospital Emergency Department or in-patient hospital stay to needed community based services. The CTI staff must be flexible and creative as well as comfortable working primarily in the community.

The program’s primary initiative is to locate and connect participants to adequate, affordable housing units as necessary, to connect them with appropriate mental health services, to collaborate with community providers on behalf of the participants, and to develop natural support systems.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services field or a certification as a Peer Support Specialist is preferred. Candidate should have one year of experience delivering clinical crisis services. Experience with Motivational Interviewing, Wellness Recovery Action Plan, recovery education and Person Centered Planning is preferred.

Greater Nashua Mental Health is an eligible employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, NH State Loan Repayment Program and offers competitive salaries and comprehensive employee benefits. Apply today!
