Children's Museum of New Hampshire

The Children's Museum of New Hampshire is a leader in providing families a place where they can explore and learn together. The Museum's largest service accomplishments include: the use of exhibits to develop hands on problem solving experiences, early learning programs, curriculum-based school group visits, the Exploring Our Way autism program and outreach programs to schools, libraries and headsrart agencies throughout the State.


The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire seeks a self-motivated and forward-thinking professional with strong project management and interpersonal skills to be a critical member of our Development team with the potential for growth to a leadership position. In addition to managing day-to-day Development business, s/he will be responsible for a variety of key development activities. These include maintaining and growing corporate and foundation support, strengthening and developing new relationships with funders, managing and overseeing fundraising events, researching and preparing grant proposals and reports, representing the Museum at public networking events, and assisting the Vice President of Development in achieving department goals. Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Development Manager works closely with the management team to create proposal content and strategize for future fundraising needs. 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and 3 – 5 years work experience in a non-profit, development, sales or related profession required. Well-organized and able to handle a variety of tasks and shifting priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential. Full-time salaried position with benefits.
