Amoskeag Health, formerly Manchester Community Health Center (MCHC), is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) federally qualified health center offering high-quality, comprehensive, and family-oriented primary health care and support services since 1993. Now known as The Dr. Selma Deitch Center for Children and Teens, Child Health Services (CHS) is the original pediatric practice of MCHC dedicated to improving the health and well-being of at-risk children. In June of 2019, all locations of MCHC consolidated under one name, Amoskeag Health.

Through all its programs, Amoskeag Health serves over 14,579 patients annually across four locations in Manchester.

This health center receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.

Primary care, preventive care, outreach and enabling services at Amoskeag Health are supported in part by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under the Health Center Cluster grant number H80CS00571. This grant provides approximately 15% of total revenue.

Do you have excellent communication skills, problem solving abilities and the ability to multitask?

Amoskeag Health Scheduling Team is looking for a new team member who is self-starter and does their best to help others. The new team member should be detail oriented with good interpersonal and customer service skills.

This position communicates effectively with patients through either inbound or outbound calls to identify their needs. This may include reviewing protocols and patient history scheduling/rescheduling/confirming/canceling appointments; accepting electronic payments; processing prescription renewals; providing physician referrals; HIPAA verifications; registering or updating patient demographics; confirming insurance acceptance and electronic verification; may be required to interact with physician office staff either verbally or in writing; may provide technical support for on-line patient portal; and document all call outcomes. This position builds strong communication skills and standard knowledge of scheduling, including the ability to navigate confidently through basic protocols.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 - Obtains current patient information from established and new patients
 - Accurately enters/updates patient information in scheduling system
 - Reviews Scheduling System for needed updated demographics and consent forms
 - Schedules appointments

- Monitors accuracy of scheduled appointments
 - Identifies patients by date of birth and name in computer system
 - Creates new account if patient not in the system
 - Schedules and re-schedules appointments as needed
 - Accurately message or transfers call to physicians and nurses when protocol indicated
 - Protects/observes patient confidentiality per policies and procedures
 - Accurately imports registration documents into patients electronic health record
 - As appropriate accepts electronic payments

1 + year experience in a call center environment
 Requires open schedule availability
 HS Diploma or GED minimum
 Bilingual (Spanish)
