Greater Nashua Mental Health

Established in 1920, Greater Nashua Mental Health has as its mission: empowering individuals to lead full and satisfying lives through treatment and support. Our agency provides comprehensive, evidence-based behavioral health services for individuals with mental health and/or substance misuse disorders. We offer a wide array of services in office and community settings, serving adults and children.  As the State-designated Community Mental Health Center for Southern Hillsborough County, we serve everyone who walks in our doors, and no one is ever turned away due to the inability to pay for services.  Without our agency, many of the most vulnerable members of our community would not have access to critically needed behavioral health care.   We believe that by respecting people as they are, we can help them to become all that they wish to be.

Our community mental health center is looking for a fulltime Controller to join our team! Reporting to the CFO, this position has overall responsibility for maximizing a return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.

This position is responsible for all accounting operations including: AR, AP, payroll, cost accounting, budgeting, and cash management.  As the point of contact for our independent auditing firm, this position is also responsible for all financial and regulatory reporting for both internal and external recipients. Additionally, this individual manages a three-person team to manage the organization’s grants, treasury services, and purchasing.  

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, MBA is preferred. Candidate should have at least 7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in a health care and/or non-profit organization. Ideal candidate will have: strong organizational and time management skills, managerial experience in a performance management based environment, experience in grant management (2CFR), advanced Excel skills, ability to learn new systems quickly and will continuously seek to improve or enhance processes and self.
