Director, Littleton Area Senior Center

Grafton County Senior Citizens Council

The mission of GCSCC is to develop, strengthen, and provide programs and services that support the health, dignity, and independence of older adults and adults with disabilities living in our communities.   


The Littleton Area Senior Center is one of eight senior centers located throughout Grafton County, NH, as programs of the Grafton County Senior Citizens Council ( GCSCC) .

GCSCC seeks an enthusiastic and experienced manager to lead the Littleton Area Senior Center. The Director is responsible for the management of day-to - day operations of the multi-purpose senior center, implementation of policies and procedures, and will develop a professional program responsive to community needs. The Director actively publicizes the services of the center in the community , promoting a positive view of aging and encouraging the support and involvement of all segments of the community in the services provided to older residents of the area. The Director will collaborate with other community agencies to provide an optimal level of services for older adults.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree. Minimum 3 years of management experience. Experience in human services, and previous work with older adults and with volunteers preferred. Knowledge of the community and available human services. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Proficient in computer use and Microsoft Office.  

Functional Capacity: Light. Must be able to sit, stand, and / or walk to a significant degree; must be able to lift 20 pounds. Requires repetitive use of hands for intermittent computer tasks.

Responsibilities:
  •  Financial accountability , including preparing and managing an annual budget, processing invoices for payment, bank account record keeping , and tracking petty cash usage.
  • Recruits, hires, and supervises all staff; maintains appropriate records, such as trainings, licenses, and physicals.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly programmatic reports.
  • Administers record keeping system, as established by GCSCC
  • Functions within agency policies and procedures to guide the operation of the center
  • Manages the senior center's nutrition program, including home-delivered meals and senior dining room.
  • Supervises coordination of the senior center's senior transportation program.
  • Develops and implements programs for older residents of the service area.
  • Supervises recruitment, training, and supervision of all volunteers.
  • Supervises maintenance of the building
  • Attends community meetings and events, as required.
