Finance Associate

Through multiple programs we deliver services that allow people to navigate their lives and live as independently as they choose.


Granite State Independent Living is looking for a full time Finance Associate who will be responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable including third party billing.

Specific (Essential) Responsibilities:

• Process all Account Receivable: Including, but not limited to, Medicaid Reimbursements, Private Pay reimbursements, and any other billable services.
• Monitor and track overdue receivables and actively work to reclaim outstanding accounts on a monthly basis.
• Process all cash receipts, prepare and complete bank deposits. Process credit card & ACH payments.
• Maintain spreadsheet on Medicaid reimbursements including adjustments amounts due, paid and pending.   Monitor spreadsheet for delayed payments and notify supervisor.
• Maintain Medicaid Denial spreadsheet and distribute it to appropriate staff. Update spreadsheet with LTS coordinator’s follow up. Rebill denied claims and update spreadsheet accordingly.
• Input credit memos and reversals for customer accounts, as authorized on approved credit memo forms.
• Assist with A/P as needed.
• Assist with the annual audit and budget preparation, as needed.
 
 Other Responsibilities:

•    Participate in general GSIL events and activities
•    Maintain professional knowledge /skills by reviewing professional literature and attending trainings /workshops.
•    Support and uphold workplace regulations and safety practices.
•    Share newsworthy information appropriately throughout the organization.
•    Conduct other duties as assigned that will increase options for persons with disabilities to live independently in their communities.
•     And other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Business Administration/Accounting. Minimum three years
experience in computerized accounting environment. Ability to work in accurate, organized, efficient and timely manner. Must meet deadlines. Experience with non-profit accounting and Medicaid billing desired. Proficient with Excel and Word.
