Development Director

Monadnock Center For Violence Prevention

Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention (MCVP) is the domestic and sexual violence and stalking crisis center for the 44 towns of the Monadnock region. MCVP is a member program of the NH Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence and a Monadnock United Way agency.

MCVP’s mission is to respond to domestic & sexual violence & stalking in our community by providing a care & support system for survivors and to work to end interpersonal violence in all forms through primary prevention, community engagement & collaboration.

 


Classification: Full-Time, Exempt, Salary, Benefits Eligible

The role of the Development Director is to manage a fundraising program that meets the financial goals of the organization, which includes annual giving, major gifts, corporate donations, events, grant solicitations, planned giving, and in-kind resources, as well as promoting community awareness of MCVP’s services and impact as outlined in the strategic plan.

Reports to: Executive Director

Requirements:

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in development
  • CFRE certification preferred
  • Proven track record of raising funds from diverse sources, including major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations
  • Familiarity with donor-tracking software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, administration, and management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Responsibilities:
  • Secure financial support through the cultivation of relationships with current and prospective funders, including individuals, foundations, and corporations
  • Coordinate and manage annual fundraising campaigns
  • Process all donations received, prepare acknowledgments, and utilize/maintain records in the donor database
  • Plan and coordinate fundraising events
  • Oversee productions of public information such as the annual report, brochures, newsletters, website, and press releases
  • Work with Development Committee, Board of Directors, key volunteers, and other staff as appropriate to plan and execute fundraising activities
  • Grow and maintain community relationships
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Executive Director
