Substance Use Disorder Therapist Child, Adolescent & Family Services

Greater Nashua Mental Health Center

Established in 1920, Greater Nashua Mental Health Center (GNMHC) has as its mission: empowering individuals to lead full and satisfying lives through treatment and support. Our agency provides comprehensive, evidence-based behavioral health services for individuals with mental health and/or substance misuse disorders.  We offer a wide array of services in office and community settings, serving adults and children.  As the State-designated Community Mental Health Center for Southern Hillsborough County, we serve everyone who walks in our doors, and no one is ever turned away due to the inability to pay for services.  Without our agency, many of the most vulnerable members of our community would not have access to critically needed behavioral health care.   We believe that by respecting people as they are, we can help them to become all that they wish to be.

We are currently seeking a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Therapist to serve as a resource within the Child, Adolescent & Family Services Department to support the provision of evidence-based services to youth with Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders (SUD/COD).

The SUD Therapist serves as an internal liaison to the SUD department and other programs within Greater Nashua Mental Health (GNMH) serving youth and transitional aged youth (ages 12-25) with SUD/COD. This position also serves as an external liaison to community partners and other providers, including Granite Pathway’s Sununu Youth Services Center’s SUD Treatment Center and representing GNMH at monthly Interagency Council (IAC) meetings and other meetings as needed to coordinate the project with other SUD agencies in our region and across NH. Additionally, the SUD Therapist coordinates education efforts and data reporting. This position also carries a small active caseload, providing needed referrals and direct services, including screening, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and individual, family and group intervention.

The therapist may provide services at our clinic location, or in community settings including schools and at the homes of clients and their families. This is a full time position with a work schedule that will require some evenings.

We are seeking a Masters level therapist, LCMHC, LICSW, LMFT, MLADC or Psychologist licensure preferred.  Candidate must have demonstrated experience specific to the provision of services to youth and transitional aged youth with SUD/COD.

Greater Nashua Mental Health is an eligible employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, NH State Loan Repayment Program and offers competitive salaries and comprehensive employee benefits. Apply today!
