Our thriving, mission-aligned retail store operations is seeking a multi-unit leader to serve as Regional Director for a group of stores in NH and northern VT. The Regional Director of Retail Operations, reporting to the SVP, Retail Operations, contributes to Goodwill Northern New England’s success by leading the activities of all stores within the assigned area of operation, while acting within the scope of the agency’s Citizenship Behavior and retail enterprise segment triple bottom line objectives.

Requirements:
  • Two plus years’ prior successful multi-unit retail management experience with full P&L responsibility and 4 plus years of “Big Box” retail store management experience.
  • Experience in positions of progressive responsibility in operational management including strategic planning, performance management, change leadership and budget development.
  • Experience establishing and/or maintaining a safe, clean work environment in a retail setting.
  • Experience building and developing Store Managers and store teams.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office, POS programs and ERP systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree or better in Business Administration or related field.
  • Drivers License, Class C
  • Driving check that meets Agency standards.
  • Criminal background check that meets Agency standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of retail performance and operations of assigned stores as well as ensuring brand, community, and people operating standards are executed across assigned stores.
  • Works cross functionally with all departments to ensure store needs are being met and stores have what they need to execute operational plans.
  • Ensures sound safety and work practices are followed and that all employees work to specified safety rules and regulations.
  • Visits stores and works closely with management teams to continuously search and find opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Participates in strategic planning, providing field intelligence to complete a data-based decision making process.
  • Participates in developing annual financial, strategic and operational plans for the team, managing execution, measuring and delivering results.
  • Develops and implements processes and standard operating procedures that enhance organizational effectiveness and agility.
  • Leads the execution of retail store footprint optimization.
  • Builds, inspires, and leads a team of Store Managers in achieving daily operational excellence and our triple bottom line objectives.
