Development Coordinator

Crisis Center of Central NH

The Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire (CCCNH) has been serving Merrimack County since 1978.  As a nonprofit, we provide services and resources to victims/survivors of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, child and elder abuse.  The mission of our organization is to empower individuals to make positive changes in their lives. Services are confidential and free and are available to everyone, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, income or physical abilities.  Our services include a 24-hour crisis line, court advocacy, hospital accompaniment, emergency shelter, support groups, education and outreach.

Work with and report to the Executive Director. Work with and support the Board and Development Committee to create and execute the annual CCCNH Development Plan, including evaluating and analyzing year end outcomes.  Manage the data base.  Leverage community relationships and contacts within Merrimack County. The employee must have reliable transportation and automobile insurance. This is a part-time, 20-hour per week position with a flexible schedule.  Some evenings and weekends are required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 2-5 years of development, fundraising or sales experience in a service industry or for a non-profit, with a proven track record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and a donor database (Giftworks preferred).
  • Strong communication skills including social media, creative writing, newsletter publishing and public speaking.
  • Enjoy working with people, cultivating donors and recruiting/managing volunteers.
  • Strong partnership-building and event planning skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills to include follow-up and follow through.
  • High energy, positive “can-do” attitude, and attention to detail; high degree of initiative and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to take direction, work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have proof of insurance
  • Must pass a criminal record check.
  • Must complete a 30-hour paid training.
  • Draft, manage and execute the annual development plan with the support of volunteers, staff and the Board of Directors to include; stewarding donor relationships, expanding the data base, cultivating major gifts, strategic marketing and public relations and other tasks noted in development plan.
  • Draft all materials for direct mail and electronic appeals.
  • Create content and post to social media outlets.
  • Manage events and solicit sponsorships.
  • Support Development Committee Chairs to schedule Development Committee meetings. Attend all Development Committee meetings and take minutes.
  • Oversee all aspects of data base management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
