The para-educator works under the direction of a licensed classroom teacher to provide educational and vocational support to students with developmental or acquired disorders including neurological, physical, emotional, behavioral, and/or multiple disabilities. Specific diagnoses represented may include but are not limited to autism, TBI, cerebral palsy, emotional disorders, medically fragile conditions, neurological impairments, spinal cord injury, and visual impairment, and speech and language impairment.  The para-educator will be responsible for following all parts of a student educational program including the Individual Education Plan, the positive behavior support plan, and all therapeutic programs.


• Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Willing and able to work with students of all ability levels.
