Data Associate

WISE

For almost 5o years, WISE has been the sole provider of crisis advocacy and support for victims of sexual violence within 21 communities of the Upper Connecticut River Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont. WISE is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting people and communities impacted by domestic violence, sexual violence and stalking. WISE leads the Upper Valley to end gender-based violence through survivor-centered advocacy, prevention, education and mobilization for social change. WISE offers a confidential and free 24-hour crisis line, peer support groups and workshops, emergency shelter and transitional housing, safety planning and accompaniment to hospitals, police stations, court houses and other social service agencies. WISE works with youth, professionals, and the community to develop relevant and comprehensive prevention strategies. WISE is committed to engaging everyone in learning to recognize and eliminate the root causes of violence.

The Data Associate is responsible for the timely input and reporting of contact logs and outreach recording sheets utilizing their two respective databases.  This person will work closely with the Program Operations Coordinator to assure 100% accuracy in entry and reporting of all data. The Data Associate will be required to successfully complete WISE’s 30 hour advocacy training granting her/him privileged communication, as they will be handling confidential information.

Hours: part time, 25 hours per week. Paid hourly.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Clear and demonstrated technical skill for data entry and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word, Access and Excel, and WWW.
  • Strong grounding in and commitment to social change and a feminist framework for understanding gender-based violence.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, required minimum vehicle insurance coverage.
  • Able to spend periods of time sitting and standing, to lift 40 pounds.
  • Experience in the field of domestic or sexual violence survivor advocacy or prevention, and/or excellent knowledge of issues of domestic and sexual violence a plus.
  • WISE requires all employees to submit criminal background and driver’s license checks, employment is dependent on findings.
  • Successful completion of the WISE Advocate Training Program within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities:

Data Entry:

  • Accurate and timely documentation of victim and prevention data in accordance with WISE’s data collection and reporting requirements.
  • Input contact logs and outreach recording into respective databases with 100% accuracy as verified by the NHCADSV.
  • Remain up to date on standards, requirements and updates to the database systems.

Data Reporting:

  • Work closely with the Program Operations Coordinator to pull data necessary for federal, state, and municipal grant reports as well as private funders and campus specific reports.
  • Provide quarterly data on victim services and prevention and education programs to Program Director.

General Staff Participation:

  • Attend community, staff, and/or Board meetings, trainings and/or conferences as requested by the Executive/Program Director.
  • Participate in the strategic and annual planning processes of WISE.
  • Perform other duties for the overall functioning of the organization and those duties as requested by the Executive Director.
