Director Referral Education Assistance and Prevention Program

Founded in 1963 to address the mental health care needs of the New Hampshire Seacoast, Seacoast Mental Health Center (SMHC) is one of ten non-profit state-designated community mental health centers (CMHCs) in New Hampshire. As a CMHC, we provide evaluations and treatment services to children, adolescents and families, adults, and the elderly who reside in our catchment area regardless of their ability to pay.


We are seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to oversee the Referral Education Assistance and Prevention Program (REAP). REAP is a statewide program staffed with graduate and undergraduate level mental health clinicians who work for one of the 10 community mental health centers in New Hampshire. The program provides support for older adults in the community and individuals who work for and on behalf of older adults, including caregivers. The Director of the REAP program is expected to provide some REAP services on an add needed basis. The successful applicant will work to ensure that we are providing the highest quality services to REAP clients, funders and stakeholders.

The Referral Education Assistance and Prevention Director will work with a committed leadership team focused on the ongoing implementation and improvement of evidence based practices. In addition to strong clinical skills, the successful candidate must be experienced in the use of an electronic health record, reporting metrics, department level budget management and ensuring compliance with state and federal statutes, rules and contractual obligations.



    • Minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work or mental/human service field

    • 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in the mental health setting with an emphasis on geriatric services.

    • Must be a Certified Prevention Specialist or eligible to become one in accordance with the State NH.

    • Must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience

    • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and personal vehicle with auto insurance required.
