Clinician - Emergency Services

Master Level Clinician - EMergency Services (ES)

Emergency and Interim Care Services Clinicians provide psychiatric evaluation, crisis intervention, stabilization, disposition and referral services in consultation with the on-call psychiatrist for person’s in need of emergency psychiatric care appearing in our community hospital emergency departments. In addition, clinicians provide in-office triage, crisis intervention, stabilization, back-to-school evaluations and referral services as appropriate for persons scheduled by evaluating clinicians in the EDs and/or referred by other providers, calling on the phone (for themselves or others) or walk-ins to our lobby as indicated by presenting psychiatric status.  Shifts are flexible and include overnights and occasional assigned weekend shifts.


Responsibilities consist of rapid response, face-to-face assessment, diagnostic screening, wrap-around safety planning and interventions responsive to client goals, needs and resources.  Ability to work closely with the ED health care team, on-call psychiatrists ES Team and referral sources is crucial to the provision of high quality accessible services.   


Candidates must possess a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university and be licensed or license eligible by the NH Board of Mental Health Practice


Relevant experience in providing emergency mental health services preferred.
