From Virtually Impossible to a Virtual Success

Hosting Successful Fundraising Events During Covid-19: A Panel Discussion

This year, nonprofit organizations had to quickly shift gears and adapt their in-person fundraising activities and galas into virtual events. For many, it was a crash course in how to use video communication and online fundraising software. Despite making this change from in-person to virtual events, many nonprofits met or even exceeded their fundraising goals. In this roundtable discussion, four nonprofit leaders will talk about the successes and challenges of their 2020 events and how they plan to take their 2021 events to the next level. This workshop will include breakout rooms where participants can share ideas and ask questions about best practices for virtual fundraising events. The workshop will be held on Thursday, January 28th from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. online via Zoom.
