Giving USA has just released its newest findings for 2019 and one thing that is apparent and was reported on by the Nonprofit Quarterly is that “in terms of individual giving, the trend continues toward ‘dollars up and donors down.’ In other words, there are fewer donors, with a small portion of them donating enough to hide the falloff of many other donor households.

In recent months, the fundraising community has shifted to digital work. And, with the recent pandemic causing many groups to question their future sustainability and independence, it makes sense to begin to use this emphasis on digital to build a broader base of donors and encourage greater giving by the many.
