Writing Memoirs

Presented by: Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications

Whether you'd love to capture that amazing journey you took across the country or across the globe, or ruminate on that painful journey through illness, heartache, and/or self-realization, you'll find the inspiration, tools, and camaraderie to get started in Memoir Writing. The instructor is seasoned writer/teacher and long-time NH TV personality Carolyn Choate.  Guest speakers include NH authors Dan Szczesny and Kathy Seward McKay. Dan is the 2016 winner of the NH Literary Award in Non-Fiction for his memoir The Nepal Chronicles: Marriage, Mountains, and Momos in the Highest Place on Earth. Kathy was a co-author of Dying In Vein, recalling in graphic photos the human devastation of innocent people - like her husband - exposed to HIV-tainted blood due to unscrupulous blood testing practices. She is writing a memoir about this very traumatic part of her own life.

This six-week class meets on Wednesday evenings, starting on September 11 and ending on October 16.

Date: Wednesday, September 11, 2019 - 7:00pm to Wednesday, October 16, 2019 - 8:30pm
Location: Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications
