WomensTrust Appoints New Executive Director

New London - Barbara Lucas, President of the WomensTrust Board of Directors, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dana Jeanblanc as the new Executive Director, U.S., of WomensTrust.

Ms. Jeanblanc has over two decades of senior level non-profit management experience including strategic planning, organizational development, fundraising, public relations, marketing and advocacy work.  In addition, she has extensive experience in new program development.

Prior to WomensTrust, Dana was the Deputy Director of the New England-based Somali Development Center (SDC).  In her work with the SDC, Dana was responsible for managing social service initiatives including health education, employment, housing, home visiting, and English Language Learning (ELL) programs for African and Bhutanese refugees.  Prior to SDC, she held a position as Director of Public Affairs and Senior Manager of a healthcare facility.

Dana’s national and international experience includes providing consultation services to an African human rights monitoring organization working in Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya.  Additionally, she serves on the Board of RAIN for Sahel & Sahara, a non-profit working in Niger empowering women, children and families through micro-lending and education.  Dana is also a member of Zonta International, a UN affiliated mentoring program for underserved women and girls worldwide.

Ms. Jeanblanc is a graduate of Springfield College where she received a BS in Human Service Administration and is a professionally trained Mediator.  Dana resides in NH.
