Fellowship Housing Opportunities Grant for Licensed Community Residence Vehicle

Fellowship Housing Opportunities recently received a $10,000 grant from the Oleonda Jameson Trust and a $15,000 grant from the Cogswell Benevolent Trust. These grants have helped further Fellowship Housing Opportunities mission of providing decent, safe, affordable housing with support to members of the community who live with mental illness by allowing them to purchase a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder for their licensed community residence, Fellowship House!  This vehicle is replacing a van that was well loved and used for many, many years.  It will be used to allow the residents to go on group outings, which helps with community integration, complete less frequent shopping trips so more staff are available at the house to help the residents, and will be their transportation to and from the many medical and therapeutic appointments they have on a daily basis.

“I and everyone at Fellowship Housing are very thankful and honored to be the recipient of these two very generous grants.  I must say I am very proud of our staff and our grants committee!  This van will be a huge improvement for our residents and staff in getting to medical appointments and recreational activities in the community, as well as assisting with the large task of feeding 12 people in our group home each day!  We try to do so as efficiently as possible with the assistance of the NH Food Bank and bulk buying, but doing so requires a large vehicle.  Thank you very much Oleonda Jameson Trust and the Cogswell Benevolent Trust.  In addition, thank you to Concord Nissan.” Nancy Egner, Executive Director

“The staff at Fellowship House are extremely thankful for the generous support from the Oleonda Jameson Trust and the Cogswell Benevolent Trust which has allowed us to purchase a new van for the Community Residence. We are very excited to have a reliable vehicle to transport residents to appointments and community activities, in addition to picking up supplies and food in bulk to meet the needs of our 12 residents. Thank you for recognizing the work that we do and helping us in our efforts to continuously improve the program at Fellowship House!” Rachel Moon, Community Residence Manager

“Thank you to The Oleonda Jameson Trust and The Cogswell Benevolent Trust for believing in us and supporting our residents!  We could not have purchased this vehicle without you.” Kerry Sweeney, Business Operations Assistant

About Fellowship Housing Opportunities
Fellowship Housing Opportunities is a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in downtown Concord, NH, dedicated to promoting recovery from mental illness as a provider of high-quality, affordable housing, and client-centered behavioral services. We own seven buildings and provide over 60 individuals struggling with a severe mental illness with affordable and supported housing. Affordable rental costs for four of these housing projects (including the community residence) are possible through subsidies by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The remaining three properties accept Section 8 Housing Vouchers to keep rent affordable for our tenants.
