Dr. Lisa DiBrigida Named Pediatrician of the Year

Community Health Doctor Honored for Her Commitment to Improving the Lives of Children

Manchester - Lisa DiBrigida, MD, Associate Medical Director of Pediatrics at Manchester Community Health Center (MCHC) was recently named Pediatrician of the Year by the New Hampshire Pediatric Society.

Dr. DiBrigida is a well-loved pediatrician who has served Manchester families since 1993. She joined Child Health Services at MCHC in 2003, as a pediatrician, and is now the Associate Medical Director of Pediatrics at MCHC.

Dr. DiBrigida is a champion for children with special health care needs, and for families whose lives are impacted by psychosocial and economic challenges. As a pediatrician at Manchester Community Health Center, she is able to care for her patients regardless of a family's ability to pay.

"My mentor and the founder of Child Health Services, Dr. Selma Deitch, was the first recipient of this award 25 years ago," said Dr. DiBrigida. "That makes this very special to me, and I am humbled and honored to receive this recognition."

At Child Health Services at MCHC, Dr. DiBrigida has also been an advocate for comprehensive integrated primary care. She has championed a team pod for the clinical team to achieve better-integrated care. This team pod allows providers, behavioral health clinicians, nutritionists, case managers, and community health workers to share office space to more easily discuss patient cases and better coordinate care. She insists that better healthcare is a collaborative team effort.

"This award is really for our whole team," said Dr. DiBrigida. "We work together day-in and day-out to provide the best possible care for our young patients."

Each year the New Hampshire Pediatrician of the Year Award is presented by the New Hampshire Pediatric Society to an outstanding doctor who contributes to the improvement of child health care in New Hampshire and the United States.
