CVTC Hosts Bus Trip to NH Highland Games & Festival

Contoocook Valley Transportation Company (CVTC) is taking reservations for a day trip to the 38th Annual New Hampshire Highland Games & Festival at Loon Mountain Resort in Lincoln, NH. Immerse yourself in the largest Scottish festival in the Northeast and the largest cultural festival in NH on Sunday, September 22nd, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Spend a full day taking in traditional and contemporary music, competitions in highland dance, piping & drumming and pipe bands, ethnic food, beverages and merchandise. Research your heritage with over 70 clans and societies. Special events include the International Gathering of Drum Majors and the World Heavy Event (Athletics) Championships. The 31-passenger coach bus (not accessible) will stop at two locations to pick up and drop off riders: Thomas Transportation, Rt. 12, in Swanzey, NH at 7:15 a.m. and at Peterborough Plaza, Rt. 101, at 7:45 a.m. The bus will arrive at the festival around 10:00 a.m. and will have on-site parking. The bus will depart at 5:00 p.m.  The cost of the trip is $66 for adults (15 years and older) and $37 for children, 14 years and younger. Included in the price is the round-trip ticket, event admission, and service & handling fees. Pre-payment is by credit card, check or cash. Tickets are non-refundable.
