Ascentria Care Alliance and CEO Angela Bovill Recognized As a Top 100 Women-Led Business

Worcester – New England-based Ascentria Care Alliance and its President and CEO Angela Bovill were honored at a recent awards breakfast held at the Boston Marriott Copley Place, announcing the 2018 list of “Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts.”

This is the 17th year that The Commonwealth Institute — a Massachusetts nonprofit that supports female business leaders — has created the list, and the sixth year that the Boston Globe Magazine has partnered with the group. The criteria considered for the Top 100 list include revenue or operating budget, number of full-time employees in the state, and impressive records of innovation and workplace diversity. Selected businesses are then ranked according to a proprietary formula, and include both for-profit and nonprofit organizations of varying sizes and industries.

Ascentria is ranked 48th in the 2018 list of Top 100 Women-led Businesses, its third consecutive appearance on the list. “We are honored to be included once again among the many distinguished businesses in this year’s list,” states Ms. Bovill. “As an innovative nonprofit organization, we use our Equipped to Thrive framework in a holistic, human-centered care model to serve the needs of our diverse client population. It is important to us that our management and employees represent those in our care.” She adds, “We are proud to have a diverse workforce that is 75 percent female and 38 percent minority.”

With headquarters in Worcester, MA, Ascentria Care Alliance has program offices in:

  • Connecticut: Middletown and Southbury
  • Maine: Auburn, Mexico, Waterville, Westbrook
  • Massachusetts: Andover, Brockton, Jamaica Plain, Waltham, West Brookfield, West Springfield, and Worcester
  • New Hampshire: Concord and Manchester
  • Vermont: Burlington
