New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits Announces Four New Board Members

Matt Mowry, Betsey Andrews Parker, Ken Sheldon, and Emma Stratton have joined the Center’s 15-member board of directors.

The New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits is pleased to welcome four new members to its board of directors: Matt Mowry, Betsey Andrews Parker, Ken Sheldon, and Emma Stratton. Each will serve a two-year term beginning in July 2025, joining a 15-member board that helps guide the Center’s mission to strengthen and give voice to the state’s nonprofit sector.

Andrews Parker is CEO of the Community Action Partnership of Strafford County, bringing over 28 years of leadership in public health and human services. She has expanded programs in early education, housing, nutrition, and workforce development, while championing systemic change. Betsey holds degrees from UNH and Boston University (MPH) and serves on several regional and national boards. A former Dover School Board vice chair and Rotary Club president, she is known for her strategic vision and deep commitment to community.

Mowry is Executive Editor and Co-Publisher of Business NH Magazine, where he has led editorial direction for more than 25 years. A graduate of St. Michael’s College and Leadership NH, he co-founded Granite Media Group in 2022 and serves on the boards of the NH Press Association and Granite State News Collaborative. He’s also a dedicated volunteer in youth, arts, and family-focused nonprofits.

Sheldon is Senior Vice President at Bank of America, managing middle market banking in New Hampshire and Vermont. He previously served as the bank’s NH president from 2011 to 2025 and has over 40 years in financial services. A longtime Manchester resident, Ken serves on the executive boards of the NH Bankers Association and Business & Industry Association. His past board roles include Waypoint, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua, and CHaD. He holds degrees from Babson and Bentley College and is deeply committed to community development.

Stratton is Executive Director of the Portsmouth Historical Society, with over 20 years of experience in museums and galleries across New Hampshire and the U.S. She previously led the American Independence Museum and held key roles at the Heurich House Museum in Washington, D.C. Emma holds degrees from George Washington University and Connecticut College. She serves on the Eventide Foundation board and is passionate about public history, community engagement, and the role of cultural institutions in shaping civic life.
