Historic Horse Racing Moratorium and Host Municipality Gaming

The House Ways and Means Committee has recommended that SB 472 ought to pass. The proposal extends the moratorium for Historic Horse Racing (HHR) licenses for gaming operators another 7 years and also opens up opportunities for host municipalities to sponsor gaming activities.

The NH Center for Nonprofits helped create an amendment in the Senate that limits host municipality participation if there is a waiting list of charities. The bill will be on the House consent calendar this week.
