Bi-State was founded in 1986 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan charitable organization with offices in Bow, NH and Montpelier, VT. The intent of this position is to be based in Bow, NH. Our Mission is to advance access to comprehensive primary care services for all, with special emphasis on those most in need in VT and NH. We support Community Health Centers to provide access to primary health care services including medical, oral, mental, and behavioral health care, treatment for substance use disorder, and community support services.  We work with federal, state, and regional health policy organizations and policymakers, foundations, and payers to develop strategies, policies, and programs that promote and sustain community-based, primary health care services. We provide advocacy, technical assistance, provider recruitment, education and training, and resource and information services.

Description

Bi-State Primary Care Association seeks a Workforce Initiatives Facilitator to increase the percentage of Health Centers across Vermont and New Hampshire who are at full readiness to engage in health professions training programs.  Join our team to educate health centers about these opportunities and provide training and technical assistance to foster the development of new health center-based education and training programs with the goal of building a workforce to address current and emerging needs. This includes supporting health centers in implementing health professions education and training initiatives through strategic partnerships between community colleges, four-year colleges, and universities and health centers.   This program will enhance health centers’ capabilities to recruit, develop, and retain their workforce by exposing health and allied health professions students, trainees, and residents to education and training programs at health centers.

Required Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication, and the ability to provide accurate, timely written reports. 
  • We are looking for an individual with three (3) to five (5) years of experience in facilitation and/or education/training roles.
  • Experience in workforce planning and development in a community-based setting, knowledge of provider certification and training programs and/or recruitment and retention strategies in the areas of primary care, behavioral health and/or substance use disorder, and grant management is preferred.
  • A four (4) year baccalaureate degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

  • Bi-State anticipates a starting salary in the range of $40,000 to $55,000 per year, depending upon experience.
