New Hampshire Children's Trust (NHCT) is the Governor-designated statewide child abuse prevention agency, the New Hampshire Chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, and a member of the National Alliance of Children's Trust and Prevention Funds. The mission of New Hampshire Children's Trust (NHCT) is to lead the drive to strengthen families and communities, through education, advocacy, and collaboration, to prevent child abuse and neglect.
About the Job
Position Overview
The Training & Program Manager plays a crucial role in the development, coordination, and implementation of primary prevention initiatives. This role involves strategic planning, coordination of events, training and technical assistance, promotion of evidence-based practices, public representation, community engagement, and ensuring the inclusion of family voice in all aspects of NHCT's activities.
Program Development & Oversight
- Provide strategic management of NHCT’s programmatic initiatives under the direction of the President
- Identify and research new and enhanced training programs/curricula for NHCT to provide to professionals and community members
- Oversee the management of all NHCT programs and the implementation of new programs, including the strategic development of the Concrete Supports program and the expansion of a statewide network of family and child serving organizations
- Assess statewide family support and early care and education professional development and training needs and develop comprehensive community outreach and training plans.
- Assist the President and directors with writing federal and state grant applications and required reporting
- Manage program department budget, resources, and staffing with guidance from President, Senior Director of Finance, and Director of Operations & Impact
Training & Events
- Develop and oversee annual training schedule, program evaluation efforts, and continuing education unit (CEU) offerings with support from administrative staff
- Provide training on the protective factors framework, including Strengthening Families: Bringing the Protective Factors to Life
- Successfully complete train-the-trainer workshops to earn facilitator credentials for training others
- Manage a cadre of NHCT trainers (staff and independent contractors) to deliver trainings to child and family serving professionals and community members
- Assume a collaborative leadership role on annual event planning and implementation including the Strengthening Families Summit and Unsung Hero Awards
- Attend convenings and conferences as needed
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality as it relates to the agency and all records/documents.
- Supervise staff or projects as appropriate determined by Senior Leadership.
- Understand and meet local/state data requirements for partners.
- Actively participate in internal and external meetings to provide positive input and contribute to problem solving.
- Maintain professionalism in line with NHCT policies and standards.
- Participate in sub-committees and workgroups as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient operation of NHCT.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES
- Familiarity with the non-profit sector.
- Knowledge of related networks and child and family serving organizations in in NH.
- Familiarity with database platforms.
- Content expertise in child development, family strengthening and support services.
