About the Job

Description

The Southeast Region Program Manager will develop and deliver mission-aligned education programs and events based at the Forest Society’s Creek Farm Education Center in Portsmouth, as well as field-based programs at other Forest Society Southeast region forests. 

This position serves as the primary point of contact and operations coordinator for existing and future partner groups (camps, seasonal sports, schools, Education Center tenants, etc.) that routinely utilize Creek Farm’s grounds and buildings, problem solving and facilitating communication between these partners.

 The position is expected to develop new partnerships with community groups and organizations to expand educational offerings and opportunities in this region. This position will also recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers in roles that assist with outreach, events, and educational program delivery.  General outreach about the Forest Society to Southeast region audiences is expected, as is assistance with marketing and promotion of events via social media, e-newsletters, blogs, articles, and other media outlets.
